Who could imagine sand pouring through the door frames and filling up rooms deep inside a european style building.  Kolmanskop is an old diamond mining town that was deserted in the 1940’s.  In a desert, but close to the coast, these structures are still standing with almost perfect paint in some rooms.  This, in combination with the sand in these rooms and light shining through makes for a place like no other.
